前几天有人讨论计算神经科学，偶来说两句八。当然理论神经科学和计算神经科学含义并不一致，不过都没有太严格的定义，不多说。
1 入门教程 (当然只是偶认为比较好的一本，各人背景不同，要具体看乐)
theoretical neuroscience, Dayan and Abbott 这本书在amazon.com买50$，偶当时找乐一个小网站，30$搞定，网上也有全文下载的地方。
这本书对theoretical neuroscience 介绍的比较全面，但要想真正明白每一章的内容，似乎并不容易，反正偶只是明白乐一点点。 theoretical neuroscience 的内容很多，可以先看看着本书，看看有没有自己喜欢以及能做的部分。
Abbott 在univ of brandies.主页上有习题 http://people.brandeis.edu/~abbott/。不过有些习题并不好做，有的题目极其无聊，无聊的题目，偶一怒之下，一概没做，所以最后只拿个A- 的说(上学期选的这们课)。
生物部分，自然是看 principles of neural science. 不知道第5 版出来没，不过偶前老板去年8月份已经把第五版他负责的一章交给kandel乐
2 偶大概了解的几个方向
从切入的学科说
a) differential equations and dynamical systems学过一点电生理的，都知道Hodgkin and Huxley 的经典工作，发在52年的J. physiology上的。有空可以读一下原文，非常cool. 不过有一点要注意，那篇文章中，电流的正负方向和现在通常定义的相反，所以一般现在复述他们的工作时也就用乐现在的定义。在看原文时，不要觉得奇怪。
由於微分方程可以极好的描述动作电位，所以可以从数学上来看。大抵是可以用关于limit cycles, bifurcations, chaos,的一些结果 来做一些关于synchrony ，adaptation,

有一本极好的教材，spikes,decisions and actions, by wilson. 很便宜，偶15$买的。wilson 以前在u of Chicago, 现在好像在Canada. wilson 是G. Bard Ermentrout
postdoc 的committee。按Ermentrout 的意思，这是一本很decent 的教材，只是取乐一个莫名其妙的名字。 做这个方向的人，偶知道的是 u of pittsburgh 的 Bard Ermentrout ，boston U 的nancy, etc.
b) EE & physics
这个方向的大牛人，自然是caltech的koch. 他的biophysics of computitions, 几乎是必备书，50$. 想来大家都知道koch，不多说。偶听过他的一次讲座，当时太困，睡着乐，实在是很不好意思的说。
c) statistics
有本很好的书，Spikes: Exploring the Neural Code (Computational Neuroscience) by Fred Rieke , David Warland , Rob deRuytervanSteveninck , William Bialek 。
好像后三个作者都是在NEC的，后来NEC 取消乐一个相关的实验室， 於是大名鼎鼎 Rob deRuytervanSteveninck 便被layoff 乐。：)
当然他是不愁没地方的要的，转身就到Princeton 去做乐教授。这家伙的名字实在是长，要查他的文章，都不知道该用哪个名字，总是查不到 ：( 。 听过他的一次讲座，是用果蝇( 或者某种其他的的蝇， not sure, 没听清，：P ) 做视觉编码，电极插下去后，可以连续记录一个星期，想起偶插电极的痛苦，实在是羡慕不已。
偶学过一点点theoretical neuroscience ，只是太笨，也没学明白什么。不过偶大概定乐一下毕业论文的题目， 就认为是解码吧。大概是这样的：
